Update

Detectives identified the suspect as Joshua McElhenney, DOB: 9/21/78. The suspect was located in Miami-Dade. Miami-Dade Homicide/SWAT assisted PBSO detectives with executing a search warrant in a hotel room where the suspect was arrested for First Degree Murder with a firearm, without incident. McElhenney is currently residing in Miami-Dade jail awaiting extradition back to Palm Beach County.

On 8/6 at 7:25 pm, deputies responded to a shooting on Jasmine Drive, West Palm Beach. An adult male was found deceased. The suspect, believed to be known to the victim, fled before arrival. Motive unknown. Violent Crimes Division investigating. Updates to follow. If you have any info, please come forward.
