Narcotics Division

Welcome to the PBSO Narcotics Division website.  I am honored to serve as the Commander for the Division.  I’m a native of Palm Beach County and have worked at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office since 1992.  During my law enforcement career, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in multiple assignments including Road Patrol in multiple districts, Field Training Officer, SWAT, Street Crimes, Narcotics, District Executive Officer, and District Commander.

The Narcotics Division primarily focuses on enforcing state and federal controlled substance laws and regulations.  We are dedicated to aggressively investigating and holding those individuals/organizations accountable that grow, manufacture, and/or distribute controlled substances.  We are dedicated to working together with federal, state, and other local law enforcement agencies to effectively accomplish our mission.

The Narcotics Division is also home to the Public Assistance Fraud Task Force.  This Task Force investigates the multiple types of fraud involving public assistance.  The Task Force is made up of local, state, and federal agencies that diligently enforce laws aimed at stopping those who choose to intentionally abuse our public assistance programs through fraudulent means.

Our division understands the importance of remaining flexible and vigilant in the ever-evolving world of illegal drugs.  The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is committed to finding the most effective methods to disrupt and/or dismantle illegal drug distribution organizations that directly affect our community.  Thank you for visiting our web page, and please report suspected illegal drug activity through the Narcotics Division Tip Line (561-687-6850), Crime Stoppers (800-458-8477) or the below web link:

Sincerely,

Captain Richard DiBerardino
