Shooting/Homicide in Belle Glade – October 16, 2024
PBSO deputies were dispatched to a shooting in the 200 block of SW 5th Street, Belle Glade. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male deceased from apparent gunshot wounds and a second adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot. The injured male was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division arrived on the scene, investigating this double shooting as a homicide. Currently, details about suspects and motives are unknown.

PBSO is Reaccredited with “Excelsior” Status by Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, Inc.
In July of this year (2024), four experienced law enforcement professionals trained as assessors were selected by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, Inc. to conduct an assessment of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. Update – Detectives Investigate at Double Homicide on Canal Street, Belle Glade
Shortly before 10:00 pm, last evening, deputies responded to a shooting at 27 Canal Street, Belle Glade. Upon arrival, deputies located two adult males deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division arrived on scene to investigate this double shooting/double homicide further. No suspect or motive is known at this time. Unknown Suspects Wanted for Bank Jugging and Distraction Burglary
Unknown Suspects WANTED for Bank Jugging and Distraction Burglary. These unknown suspects, distracted the victim, stole her credit card(s) then were captured attempting to purchase a Rolex watch for $ 18,000 at the Wellington Green Mall. Fortunately, a credit card authorization was sent to the victim’s phone to alert her, as she was unaware that her cards were stolen. This incident occurred on September 24, 2024 at 12:30 pm.
