Countywide Seat Belt & Child Safety Restraint Enforcement on Sunday, April 30, 2023

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a countywide Seat Belt & Child Safety Restraint Enforcement on Sunday, April 30, 2023. The purpose of this operation is to conduct high-visibility, zero-tolerance enforcement of all Florida State Statutes regarding seat belt usage and child safety restraints. The locations of the enforcement will be in the unincorporated areas of Palm Beach County. The hours of operation will be from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Sexual Battery Arrest

Our detectives worked tirelessly to identify and apprehend the suspect responsible for a heinous crime against an innocent victim. We arrested Darrell Moreland Jr. for Sexual Battery with a deadly weapon, Kidnapping and Robbery with a deadly weapon. We thank the community for their support and remind everyone to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

Rachel Hurley – 33rd Anniversary Homicide

Someone out there knows who killed her! License Suspended?

Fatal Accident – Indiantown Rd. Jupiter 03/01/23

V-2 was traveling westbound on Indiantown Road. V-1 was northbound on 125th Ave. V-2 had a flashing yellow light and V-1 had a flashing red light and stop sign. V-1 initiated its northbound travel and crossed the eastbound lanes. V-1 did not observe V-2 and pulled across into the westbound lanes causing the collision. ATV Statute

Each year, we respond to various ATV-related incidents, some fatal. We understand that seeing us on ATVs might create confusion. However, the FSS 316.2074 states that "an ATV may be used by law enforcement officers on public roads while in the course & scope of their duties."
