This month's edition of our monthly series, "Behind the Star" is now available. As we close the week and the month, we want to share a glimpse of our daily operations and the hard work of our officers. Together, we're making a difference and keeping our streets safe.
Sexual Battery Arrest
Our detectives worked tirelessly to identify and apprehend the suspect responsible for a heinous crime against an innocent victim. We arrested Darrell Moreland Jr. for Sexual Battery with a deadly weapon, Kidnapping and Robbery with a deadly weapon. We thank the community for their support and remind everyone to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
License Suspended?
You can now get back on the road with Operation Green Light. From March 13th-17th, the collection agency fees are waived for overdue tickets and court fines. Take advantage of this initiative to get back on the road. For more details, check the flyer below.
ATV Statute
Each year, we respond to various ATV-related incidents, some fatal. We understand that seeing us on ATVs might create confusion. However, the FSS 316.2074 states that "an ATV may be used by law enforcement officers on public roads while in the course & scope of their duties."
