Our Operation Safe Kids begins today, Monday, August 21st to Friday, August 25th, 2023. Our mission is to identify and address high-risk zones for traffic incidents involving pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. Our dedicated motor deputies will take action by giving warnings, issuing citations, and spreading educational messages in these crucial areas. Suspicious Incident in Mallards Cove – Jupiter

Sex Trafficking Uncovered

Thanks to a local hotel worker, two female minors have been freed from commercial sex trafficking. On August 6, 2023, at 8:00 am, detectives from the Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit responded to 700 block of South Dixie Highway, Lake Worth Beach, Florida (Lago Motor Inn). Initial fact-finding by detectives on scene confirmed the commercial sex trafficking of two minor victims. Shooting on Jasmine Drive

Update Detectives identified the suspect as Joshua McElhenney, DOB: 9/21/78. The suspect was located in Miami-Dade. Miami-Dade Homicide/SWAT assisted PBSO detectives with executing a search warrant in a hotel room where the suspect was arrested for First Degree Murder with a firearm, without incident. McElhenney is currently residing in Miami-Dade jail awaiting extradition back to Palm Beach County.   August 7, 07:36 On 8/6 at 7:25 pm, deputies responded to a shooting on Jasmine Drive, West Palm Beach. Missing Person – Rodney Jones

Rodney Jones, 5'-7" - 5'-8", 170 lbs, last seen at South County Mental Health Facility in Belle Glade last night. Rodney suffers from schizophrenia and is believed to be suicidal. No known direction of travel but resides in Pahokee. Please contact PBSO if you or someone you know has information as to Rodney's whereabouts.

Missing Child – Jayden Gibson

Have you seen Jayden Gibson? He was last seen yesterday in the Boynton Beach area, wearing a black shirt, black shorts and white shoes. He frequents the Walmarts in Boynton Beach. We are worried about him. Jayden is only 11 years old and he suffers from ADHD. Let’s help him return home safely.
