Last night, around 4:30AM, we responded to shots fired at the Sunoco station in the 1100 block of 45th St. There, we found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Anyone with information please call 1-800-458-TIPS.
Our School Traffic Initiative is off to a good start. Drivers can either slowdown when passing by a school zone or we’ll be there as a reminder. Just to give you an example, in the Town of Lake Park alone, we have given out 58 citations and 159 written warnings.
Operation Strike Heat nets 60 arrests for Weapons, Drugs, and Driving Charges. The operation concentrated on crime offenses of narcotics (trafficking and sales), firearms, burglaries, robberies, and gang activity.

The Citizen’s Police Academy provides a mechanism for educating the public about the criminal justice system. Two black males started an altercation with a Hispanic male victim. The victim, 69 years of age, was followed into a business and was subsequently pushed and punched causing him to fall to the ground. While on the ground the suspects struck the victim with a truck lug wrench. The suspect’s then fled in a white Ford F250 dual cab truck with a partial Florida tag _DM_75.
