Deputies Investigate a Shooting in Belle Glade

Deputies responded to a shooting in the 600 block of SW Avenue D, Belle Glade. Upon arrival deputies found an adult male with gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No suspect information of known motive at this time. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division are investigating further. On Saturday, February 25, 2017, the city of Belle Glade held its 2nd Annual Teen Summit. Deputy Kenneth Torrence from the Palm Beach Sherriff's Office was invited to sit on the panel to speak about what PBSO/PAL is doing to help prevent crime and violence in the city.
