Scam Alert for PBC Seniors

Dear Palm Beach County Senior Citizens, If your phone rings and someone tells you: "Your grandchild is in trouble and needs money!" It's a SCAM. This happens more often than you think. Yesterday, we arrested: Jason Moreland on a warrant for Grand Theft. Last year in June, the suspect contacted the victim and claimed one of his grandchildren was in trouble and needed money. The victim, falling prey, transferred a large sum of money to an account in West Palm Beach. Further investigation...

Marquise Hudson stole a black Kio Rio, left running and occupied by a 5 ½ month old infant, from the RaceWay Gas station located on Wallis Road and Haverhill Road, WPB. Then he left the infant unharmed at the Sunoco Gas station located at State Road 7 and Okeechobee Road, Royal Palm Beach. Good thing his mamma called us and turned him in.  

We Arrest 3 Juveniles Linked to 46 Auto Thefts

This weekend, our task force, along with PBSO helicopter and the Broward County Sheriff’s Office Burglary Apprehension Team, conducted a surveillance operation on suspects that have been linked to at least 46 High-end Auto Thefts out of East Boca Raton, Wellington, West Delray, and West Boca Raton. Yes, you read right, forty-six auto thefts. A baby stroller was hit by car, earlier this morning in a pedestrian crosswalk at the intersection of Le Chalet Blvd and Military Trail. A woman (grandma) was walking the toddler (1 ½ years old - grandchild) in a baby stroller, attempting to cross the intersection, when the stroller was struck by an oncoming vehicle making a left turn. Two german shepherd’s busted out of their back yard and terrorized the streets near Pot O Gold Street, West Palm Beach, this morning.
