Frontier Elementary Students honor Deputies

Yesterday, on 9/11, the Safety Patrol students at Frontier Elementary School, in Loxahatchee honored their local PBSO and PBCFR on Patriot Day. The students collected different items  and put together a gift basket along with homemade cards thanking the deputies for their service. Members from PBSO  District 15 as well as their School Resource Deputy visited with the students and were presented with their gifts.

PBSO raises $56k for the Special Olympics

Never doubt the power of a group of committed individuals trying to make a difference. PBSO celebrated The Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run 35th anniversary by raising $55,925. Thanks to all those who participated in this year’s Law Enforcement Torch. August 16, 2018   This year PBSO raised $55,925 for the SpecialOlympics. Today is particularly special because it’s the 35th anniversary of the SpecialOlympics Law Enforcement Torch.

New Security Plan for High School Football Games

PBC Superintendent Fennoy meets with School Officials to craft a new Security Staffing plan for PBC High School Football Games. Saturday morning kickoffs for the biggest games of the season will start at 6 PM instead of 7 PM. Only clear bags will make it through the gates. For those who leave mid-game, you will have to buy another ticket. Thankfully, no students were or injured in Friday’s horrific shooting incident. PBSO will assist PBC School Board Police will all ongoing efforts.

From Inmates to Graduates

"Don't serve the time, let the time serve you." - Connor Vaughn. Six inmates graduated from the West Detention Center in Belle Glade. They received their GED diplomas to help them re-enter back into society when they are released from jail. The GED Program is a second chance to get a High School Diploma. PBSO Helps Homeless Veteran Reunite with Family

On June, 2016, we met a homeless veteran while on road patrol. He was sitting near the intersection with a sign on his wheelchair stating Air Force Veteran. Mr.J stated that he lived in a shed and was injured so severely that he could no longer control his bodily functions, and could barely walk.
