Adopt-A-Bear Foundations Donates Teddy Bears to PBSO

The Adopt-A-Bear foundation stopped by PBSO Headquarters to donate 600 teddy bears.
Sheriff  Rick Bradshaw and a group of deputies welcomed the fuzzy toys with open arms.
As much as we loved the donation, the teddy bears are not for us, but for any children we encounter who need a smile on their face.
Our deputies often come across abused, abandoned or vulnerable children in Palm Beach county.
What a better way to brighten their day than with a teddy bear.

PBSO Welcomes K9 Tino!

Meet Tino, the newest member of our Violent Crimes Division.
He still has many months of training to do, but once his training is over, he will be used to find firearms and related articles, like bullet shells.
Tino is a 15-month-old Lab and he is excited to be part of the PBSO Family.

On January 24, 2017, our Empowering Girls Mentoring Group attended a College Recruitment Tour at the West Palm Beach Convention Center.
The girls had an opportunity to talk with representatives from Palm Beach State, Bethune-Cookman University, Florida A&M University,
Keiser University, Tuskegee University, Florida Atlantic University, Edward Waters College, Fort Valley State University and many other educational facilities.

Girl Scouts Crime Prevention and Fire Safety Tips Teaching Day

Deputies and PBC Fire Rescue Personnel spent the day teaching Girl Scouts Crime Prevention and Fire Safety tips.
This is done yearly before cookie sales begin.
They were able to meet Piper, a member of PBSO K-9, sit in a patrol vehicle and on the Sheriff’s Office ATV.
They also witness the sirens go off, the fire hose spray water and the Jaws of Life demonstration.

Deputy AGAIN makes the difference in the lives of three children.
Cpl. Cullen and D/S White picked up the children they assisted with Halloween costumes last year, had breakfast at Cracker Barrel, shopped for school supplies and visited Party City to pick this year’s Halloween costumes. The kids, ages: 6, 7, and 9 chose to be Supergirl, Batman and Superman. The kids had smiles from ear to ear.

“We went to dinner tonight at Tijuana Flats here in Boynton. As we were eating, in came a group of US Marshals and Palm Beach County Sheriff Tactical Unit. Never Forget Organization Presents Award to PBSO

On 9/11/16, members of the “Never Forget” organization visited deputies at the Greenacres District to pay tribute to Law Enforcement in remembrance of 911. The family presented a framed award to PBSO in honor of their service to the community.
The founder of this organization, Sam Veguilla, was celebrating his birthday yesterday. He said, there could be no greater birthday gift than to pay tribute to the heroes of our country that we will Never Forget.
