Just before 1:00 am on Sunday, August 14, 2016, deputies responded to a shooting in the 700 block of Joe Louis Ave, located in Pahokee. Upon arrival, deputies located two individuals with gunshot wounds. Both victims were airlifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center where one of the victim’s passed away from his injuries and the second victim is in critical condition. PBSO Detectives made an arrest in the senseless homicide of Shihab Mahmud, Wellington convenience store clerk. Lajayvian D. Daniels, DOB: 7/2/93, was indicted, on a sealed indictment, last Thursday by a Palm Beach County Grand Jury for the May 30, 2014 murder of Shihab Mahmud. Shihab worked as a clerk at the Chevron station and convenience store located at 11858 Forest Hill Blvd., Wellington. Daniels was developed as a suspect soon after the murder.
