Migrant Landing in the 1600 block of S. Ocean Blvd, Manalapan

Update

As of 2:30 pm, a total of seven (7) individuals, males and females of Haitian descent were located and apprehended at various locations along South Ocean Ave in Manalapan. All of which were transferred to the custody of U.S. Border Patrol Agents on scene. In addition, deputies recovered approximately 460 pounds of marijuana from the vessel and turned it over to PBSO narcotics agents.

 

October 11, 2023

Shortly after 9:30 am, deputies were dispatched to assist Manalapan PD regarding a migrant landing in the 1600 block of S. Ocean Blvd., Manalapan. Nine (9) immigrants were seen fleeing the beached boat. Currently, seven (7) immigrants have been located.  Deputies believe the other two are hiding nearby, therefore, we are still searching.

Ultimately, Border Patrol will be taking over the investigation.
