Six inmates graduated from the West Detention Center in Belle Glade. They received their GED diplomas to help them re-enter back into society when they are released from jail. The GED Program is a second chance to get a High School Diploma. The requirements are the same, they are responsible to complete courses like Language Arts, Science, Social Studies and Math. PBSO Deputy is Ambushed and Assaulted Last Night

One of our Deputies was ambushed and assaulted last night. $5,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest.
On Sunday, August 13, 2017, at approximately 12:30 am, a PBSO Deputy was conducting a business check in the alleyway of 1011 7th Ave South, Lake Worth. PBSO Investigates Shooting in South Bay

Deputies responded to a shooting in the 100 block of NW 9th Ave, South Bay. Upon arrival deputies found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Conditions are unknown.
The scene is very active and ongoing. No motive or suspect information is known at this time.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division and Crime Scene Investigators are in route to the scene to investigate further.
More information will be released when it becomes available.
