Sex Trafficking Uncovered
Thanks to a local hotel worker, two female minors have been freed from commercial sex trafficking. On August 6, 2023, at 8:00 am, detectives from the Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit responded to 700 block of South Dixie Highway, Lake Worth Beach, Florida (Lago Motor Inn). Initial fact-finding by detectives on scene confirmed the commercial sex trafficking of two minor victims. Shooting on Jasmine Drive
Update Detectives identified the suspect as Joshua McElhenney, DOB: 9/21/78. The suspect was located in Miami-Dade. Miami-Dade Homicide/SWAT assisted PBSO detectives with executing a search warrant in a hotel room where the suspect was arrested for First Degree Murder with a firearm, without incident. McElhenney is currently residing in Miami-Dade jail awaiting extradition back to Palm Beach County.
