Operation Strike Heat nets 60 Arrests
Operation Strike Heat nets 60 arrests for Weapons, Drugs, and Driving Charges. The operation concentrated on crime offenses of narcotics (trafficking and sales), firearms, burglaries, robberies, and gang activity. It took place in the north end of Palm Beach County last weekend, April 12th & 13th, 2019 from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. The areas of concentration were Unincorporated West Palm Beach, Riviera Beach, Town of Mangonia Park and Town of Lake Park. Every year, we gather a few deputies, volunteers, parents and children for our annual Shop with a Cop. As children arrived at Walmart, they were paired with officers and given shopping carts for them to pick whatever they wanted. “Conversation with a Deputy” at a Local Dunkin’ Donuts Store
Today, PBSO District 13 (Belle Glade) along with Executive Staff attended a “Conversation with a Deputy” at the local Dunkin Donuts store. The event was attended by over 100 individuals who were interested in talking with Deputies regarding issues that affect their community. The residents expressed gratitude for the effort of the Sheriff’s Office in organizing this outreach event. The outpour of support is a key component in creating a positive working partnership with the residents of Belle Glade.

We are investigating a shooting in Belle Glade outside Belle Glade Health Department where three people have been shot. Deputies responded to a shooting outside the Belle Glade Health Department. Upon arrival they located three victims shot. All three victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Conditions are unknown. The scene is very active and ongoing.
