Shooting in Belle Glade
Just before 9:00 pm, deputies responded to a report of shooting in the 800 block of SW Ave D, Belle Glade. When deputies arrived they located a male shot in the lower torso. The male was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No suspect information or motive known at this time. No witnesses. On January 22nd, a victim reported receiving a call from a suspect whom identified himself as Lt. Cross, with the Palm Beach County Sheriff Office. The suspect told the victim a warrant was issued for his arrest for failure to attend jury duty, but the matter could be resolved if a fine of $5,555.00 was paid.
