Homicide in the Town of Lake Park

2nd Update – Media Advisory
Further investigation determined the victim had arrived at the Barber shop to pick up his son (12 years of age). He parked the car on the edge of the curb, leaving it running with his daughter (5 years of age) in the back seat. His intention was too quickly pick up the son and return to the car when he saw the deceased, Terrence Wilson Jr., open the driver side door, get in and attempt to drive away. The victim yelled to the deceased to STOP! As the deceased was attempting to drive away the victim in fear of his daughter’s safety, discharged his firearm and struck the male. He immediately opened the passenger side door, checking for his daughter’s safety and steered the car to its final rest.
No charges will be filed against the victim. The victim has a concealed weapons permit.

The deceased has been identified as Terrence Wilson Jr., DOB: 8/15/1996.

Deputies responded to a shooting that occurred at 10th Street and Greenbrier Court, Lake Park. Upon arrival deputies located an adult male deceased.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division and Crime Scene Investigators are on scene investigating further.
More information will be released when it becomes available.
