Update – Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Emmanuel Castaneda

UPDATE * ARREST *

During the course of the investigation, a juvenile suspect born 8/2005 was developed. Through various interviews, search warrants, and forensic data, probable cause was established for his arrest for First Degree Murder with a firearm and Armed Carjacking. The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center for processing.

December 23, 2022

Today, December 23, 2022, the Medical Examiner’s Office has officially ruled Emmanuel Castaneda’s death as a Homicide by gunshot.

No additional information to add at this time.

December 21, 2022

Today, December 21, 2022, at 2:30 PM, detectives with the violent crimes division were actively investigating the whereabouts of missing person Emmanuel Castaneda in the Loxahatchee area when a body was located near 120th Ave and 75th Ln North. Sadly, the body has been identified as Castaneda.

Detectives are still on scene and treating this case as a Homicide.

December 20, 2022

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Emmanuel Castaneda.  Emmanuel, DOB: 8/26/2005, was last seen on December 17, 2022.

Emmanuel was last seen wearing plaid pajama pants and a blue and white shirt. Detectives consider Emmanuel to be missing and possibly endangered.
