PBSO Detectives are investigating an early morning shooting. On October 30, 2016, at 4:45 am, Deputies and PBCFR responded to the 700 block of S. Military Trail, WPB, in reference to a shooting that just occurred. Upon their arrival the adult male victim was located outside the front entrance with a gunshot wound to the torso. He was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition. No witnesses were located or identified. No motive known. Wedding Ring Burlary at Wellington Mall
Can you believe this woman? We want to talk to her for stealing the victims wedding ring from a store at the Wellington Green Mall. The victim was sampling a product at Bath & Body Works when she removed her wedding ring & band, placed it on the sink and washed her hands. A young girl was captured on surveillance video picking up the ring and showing it to two adults. Seconds later the female and adults left the store without attempting...

On 9/11/16, members of the “Never Forget” organization visited deputies at the Greenacres District to pay tribute to Law Enforcement in remembrance of 911. The family presented a framed award to PBSO in honor of their service to the community. The founder of this organization, Sam Veguilla, was celebrating his birthday yesterday. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, PAL, and the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Foundation provided western county kids the opportunity to participate in its all star basketball camp. Coached by Deputy Kenneth Torrence, the girls and boys got to learn the fundamentals of the game and more importantly - of life.
P.A.L. assisted the Muscular Dystrophy Association
On Monday, a P.A.L. sponsored Bonfire S'mores Event where 13 & under P.A.L. players and coaches hosted and assisted the Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer children with making s'mores. In conjunction with the International Association of Firefighters local union # 2928, the PAL players had a great time hosting the event and spending time with the children.
