PBSO Celebrates National K9 Veterna’s Day

Today, we celebrate K9 Veterans, on the official birthday of US Army K9 Corps. If anybody deserves the credit for this day is Joseph White, a retired military dog trainer, who came out with the idea to honor this day back in 1942. We spoke to Cpl. Darrell Johnson and Deputy Peter Tapia from PBSO K9 Unit about our furry friends’ life after retirement. Chico, for example, is a PBSO K9 detection dog assisting us with illegal substances, such as narcotics and explosives....

The Greater Palm Beach Women Club Spreading Sweetness

Thank you to the Greater Palm Beach Women Club (GFWC ) for stopping by to thank us for our work and dropping off sweets. Gestures like this one make our day more special! The GFWC has been doing community service projects since 1927. Their purpose is to give aid to worthy projects,  promote civic improvements,  and train the community about leadership. Thank you!  

PBSO is Looking for 2 Armed Man Involved in Home Robbery

Looking for two armed men that invaded a home and robbed a victim at gunpoint. Suspects wanted for Armed Home Invasion. Two armed males, one wearing a mask, followed the victim home and robbed him at gun point outside his residence. Suspect 2, entered the residence and demanded property from the victim inside. Adopt-A-Bear Foundations Donates Teddy Bears to PBSO

The Adopt-A-Bear foundation stopped by PBSO Headquarters to donate 600 teddy bears. Sheriff  Rick Bradshaw and a group of deputies welcomed the fuzzy toys with open arms. As much as we loved the donation, the teddy bears are not for us, but for any children we encounter who need a smile on their face. Our deputies often come across abused, abandoned or vulnerable children in Palm Beach county. What a better way to brighten their day than with a teddy bear. PBSO Welcomes K9 Tino!

Meet Tino, the newest member of our Violent Crimes Division. He still has many months of training to do, but once his training is over, he will be used to find firearms and related articles, like bullet shells. Tino is a 15-month-old Lab and he is excited to be part of the PBSO Family.
