Operation Heat Shield II

Active Shooter Emergency Drills Several regional Law Enforcement and Fire Rescue agencies in South Florida participated in Operation Heat Shield II to test coordination, response and rescue efforts through a set of emergency scenario drills. These drills consisted of various scenarios such as an Active Shooter in a Mall and in a School. A total of 6 different scenarios were played out all throughout Palm Beach County.

Help Identifying Infant

We are seeking the community's assistance to identify this baby found Friday, June 1st on the ocean side of the Boynton Beach Inlet. Sadly, around 1:20pm an off duty Boynton Beach Firefighter was boating on the ocean side of the Boynton Beach Inlet when he saw what appeared to be a body floating. PBSO Deputized a 7-Year Old as a Junior Deputy

While working overtime during a state of emergency and making several arrests, one of our deputies deputized a 7-year old as a Junior Deputy. Cpl. Yerian came across a sweet 7-year old boy named Angel who asked if he could draw him a picture. PBC Jail Currently Housing Over 460 Monroe County Inmates

Shortly before noon on September 9, 2017, PBC Jail and West County Detention Facility received approximately 460 inmates and 60 employees (including deputies and medical staff) from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Over 40 Florida Highway Patrol Officers escorted the caravan of inmates and staff from Monroe County to Palm Beach County. The inmates and staff will reside in Palm Beach County until Monroe County is deemed safe to return.

Operation Cops with Comics

Ben Savedow came to donate hundreds of comic books to our Deputies so that they could give it out to children that they encounter on the road. He wanted a way to connect Law Enforcement Officers with the youth of Palm Beach County. Ben hand selected all the comics and removed all the comics that used weapons or guns.
