Suspect Busted for Burglary to Storage Unit

On June 8, 2025, a victim reported that his storage unit account had been mysteriously closed and that thousands of dollars’ worth of property had been stolen.

A thorough investigation revealed that a business employee had fraudulently altered the victim’s account settings to prevent notifications and changed his access code. The employee then alerted an accomplice, who unlawfully entered the storage unit and stole property valued at over $90,000.

With the assistance of the South Florida Task Force, the suspect was identified.

On July 8, 2025, detectives executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence, where they successfully recovered the victim’s stolen property.

The suspect, William Williams (DOB: 12/01/1974), was arrested and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on the charges listed below. The employee, Latasha Barrott (DOB: 06/02/1980), was also arrested and booked on related charges.

There are no additional victims known at this time.
