Deputies Deliver Thanksgiving Cheer

An elderly woman was stopped by deputies driving the wrong way down Haverhill Road this afternoon. The woman told deputies she knew she should not be driving but could not find anyone to take her to the store to buy a small turkey for Thanksgiving.

The deputy assisting the woman summoned his zone partners and together they drove the woman and her car home then went to La Tapatia and purchased a turkey, fixing’s, additional food and delivered it to her.

Before the deputies left the kind woman they provided her with information to Century Village Transportation and the Palm Tran Connection service so she could get assistance with running her errands.
