Girl Scouts Crime Prevention and Fire Safety Tips Teaching Day

Deputies and PBC Fire Rescue Personnel spent the day teaching Girl Scouts Crime Prevention and Fire Safety tips. This is done yearly before cookie sales begin. They were able to meet Piper, a member of PBSO K-9, sit in a patrol vehicle and on the Sheriff's Office ATV. They also witness the sirens go off, the fire hose spray water and the Jaws of Life demonstration.

Once a year, the Bethel Evangelical Baptist Church dedicates a “Week of Love” to thank their community leaders for all they do. In honor of their appreciation for PBSO, they stopped by the Delray Beach District. Not only did they bring all the deputies a thoughtful card with a beautiful message, but they also delivered personalized coffees mugs and candy! They are #pbsoproud Thank you.

Deputy AGAIN makes the difference in the lives of three children. Cpl. Cullen and D/S White picked up the children they assisted with Halloween costumes last year, had breakfast at Cracker Barrel, shopped for school supplies and visited Party City to pick this year’s Halloween costumes. Honoring Memory Of Fallen Deputy Douglass

Today we honor the memory of Fallen Deputy George Douglass. End of Watch August 27, 1921. PBSO Deputy Sheriff George C. Douglass was appointed as Deputy Sheriff on July, 19 1921 (five weeks before his death) on the recommendation of the Ritta-Bare Beach Community Council. He was reluctant to take the position and did so only when requested by unanimous vote of the council. Thank you for giving your life to protect others. We will NEVER Forget.

Jack, a boy who has Autism and loves law enforcement. His condition makes it difficult for him to make friends. He approaches many law enforcement officers offering his support and thank you cards.
