The UNSOLVED Case of Mildred Matheny

On April 27th, 1985, a woman was killed. More than three decades later, The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is still looking for her murderer. We turn to you for answers. We won't give up until we solve the 34-year-old cold case of Lake Worth resident, Mildred Matheny. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. PBSO Job Fair

This is our team, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. We wear the badge with pride, we come from all walks of life with one purpose: To serve and protect our community. As our community grows, so do we. For that reason, we are having a Job Fair on August 14th from 9 am to 2 pm at the U.S. Army Reserve Center located at 3181 Gun Club Road, West Palm Beach.

VFW Appreciation Award

As PBSO Deputies, we strive to serve our community and at times our dedication gets noticed. The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the US presented us with an Appreciation Award. It was an honor to receive this recognition in the presence of several World War II Veterans.

BSO Fallen Hero

We were deeply saddened to hear this morning of the tragic car accident of a Broward County Deputy that took his life while he was responding to a Domestic dispute. Our hearts and prayers are with the entire Broward Sheriff's Office and all his family and friends.

Legendary Law Enforcement Stories

Narcotics Division Receives Award

We're so proud! Our Narcotics Division has been selected as Florida Narcotic Officers Statewide Unit of the Year. They worked more than 1600 high-level cases last year, made 785 arrests, seized more than 484 kilos of cocaine and more than 36 kilos of heroin.

Operation Southern Shield

Speeding endangers everyone! We’re joining agencies from FL, GA, AL, TN & SC to take part in "Operation Southern Shield" to reduce fatalities & save lives. We will be patrolling main roadways in Palm Beach County from July 15th - July 21st. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
