Small plane landed safely in Boca Raton.

The pilot, flying a single engine plane, was traveling towards Pompano Beach when he began having engine trouble. The pilot, 37 year old male, landed the plane softly. No injury to himself or the plane. We believe this occurred around 12:30 pm. The location is the 7900 block of Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton. FAA and NTSB have been notified.

Deputy Sheriff Scott Levey & Deputy Sheriff Brian Fidler will be honored tonight with the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue's Professional Partnership Award for their heroic actions during a fire. PBSO Legoland field trip,Breaking the Cycle of Gang Recruitment

The Palm Beach Sheriff's Office took a group of students from South Grade Elementary School to LEGOLAND Florida Resort for the day. This was the conclusion of a school program where the deputies helped out  the students in their efforts to build Lego cars at school. It is hoped that when the children get older,  there will be positive results from the involvement of law enforcement in their lives.

Shots Fired – WPB

At 6:48am, Deputies responded to a report of a shooting outside an establishment in the 3000 block of South Military Trail, WPB. When deputies arrived they located a male suffering from gunshot wound(s) to the torso. The male was airlifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center for further treatment. His condition is unknown. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Division in collaboration with NOBLE, Leadership Palm Beach County, and Tripp Electric (Ashley Tripp) have collected enough items to furnish the family’s home in Pahokee, FL.
