SCAM ALERT – Jury Summons

A Palm Beach County resident recently received a call from someone claiming to be from a deputy from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. The caller stated that the resident did not answer a jury summons and was going to be arrested. Deputies saved a man from a Rip Current at Lake Worth Beach.

Deputies patrolling Lake Worth Beach on ATV’s observed someone struggling in the water approximately 30 yards off the beach. Observing the struggling swimmer caught up in a rip current, deputies began yelling at the swimmer to swim parallel to shore. The swimmer appeared to be exhausted and was struggling to keep his head above water. Deputies quickly ripped off their vests & gun belts, ran down the beach and dove into the water. Disguised males Wanted for an Armed Robbery to a Business in Lake Worth.

Two black male suspects with their faces covered, were captured on surveillance video entering a convenient store brandishing a handgun and demanding cash from the register. Both suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction. This armed robbery occurred at the Kwik Stop, located in the 2000 block of 10th Ave North, Lake Worth, on May 18, 2015, at 5:45 pm. PBSO is investigating a shooting in the City of Lake Worth

Deputies responded to a shooting in the 1500 block of Railroad Ave in the City of Lake Worth,  When they arrived they found a black male shot.  Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded, treated and transported the male to a local hospital where he is expected to survive. Detectives and crime scene investigators responded to the scene to investigate further. The Great American Cleanup Cabana Colony was a successful event.

The Great American Cleanup Cabana Colony was a successful event. Organized by staff at the PBSO Youth Center at Cabana Colony. With gloves on and trash bags in hand the volunteers did their part to beautify their neighborhood. Belle Glade PAL Basket Team (Raiders) are this year’s 2015 Champions

Belle Glade PAL Basket Team (Raiders) are this year’s 2015 Champions PAL The Champion Raiders played Gremacy Gators in the semi-finals and Dyson Circle for the final championship. The Raiders final record of 9-2. The coaches are: in the long sleeve yellow shirt is Timothy Hill, center – D/S Reggie Bush, and in the white shirt is Andres Jones. The champions displayed in the attached photo resides in Fremd Village and Padgett Island (CP sites – Pahokee).
