PBSO Awards UPS workers Who Stopped a Christmas Thief

Due to the quick action of a UPS driver, suspect, Joshua Thibodeau was arrested for stealing and hiding packages that were delivered to residents in the City of Lake Worth.

On Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at 2:50 pm, a UPS driver just completed a delivery to two residences in the 300 block of South M Street. Roughly, 20 minutes later the driver observed a white male, later identified as Joshua Thibodeau, walking east on 4th Ave South with packages in his hands. The suspect was seen taking the packages to a vacant building on South Federal Highway (he later admitted to attempting to hide the packages). The UPS driver alerted a deputy in the area. The deputy responded to the area and located the suspect as he had returned to the vacant building AFTER he had changed his clothes to conceal his identity.

The suspect was identified by the UPS driver as the suspect who stole the packages. He was immediately arrested and charged with the following charges: 2 counts of Burglary, 1 count of Grand Theft and 1 count of Petit Theft.

The packages were picked up by the UPS driver and re-delivered to the residents.
