Suspect Wanted for Armed Burglary at an Auto Repair Business

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an Armed Business Burglary in the City of Lake Worth Beach. On April 5, 2026, at approximately 11:10 p.m., an unidentified male entered Alfonso Auto Repair, located in the 300 block of Dixie Highway in Lake Worth Beach, and stole approximately $500 in cash along with a company cell phone.

Busted For Rental Fraud Scheme

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office received multiple complaints from property owners who were defrauded by Turia Grantlin. During the investigation, and after reviewing evidence, detectives determined that Grantlin rented multiple single-family homes in Wellington between 2005 and 2026. She utilized falsified financial documents, credit reports, and tenant background reports to secure leases.

Suspect Arrested for Kidnapping, Sexual Battery and Indecent Exposure

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying any additional victims who may have had contact with the individual depicted in the attached photograph, identified as Verwayne Alexander. He is known to operate a gray 2019 Chevrolet Trax. Alexander has been arrested and charged with kidnapping and sexual battery. Detectives are actively continuing their investigation to determine whether additional individuals may have encountered him under similar circumstances.

PBSO Saddened to Announce the Passing of Former Sheriff Richard P. Wille

Richard P. Wille, former Sheriff of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, passed away this morning. He was 97. Sheriff Wille served the citizens of Palm Beach County from 1977 to 1995, leading the agency for nearly two decades during a period of significant growth and change in the county. Prior to being elected sheriff, he served as Chief of Police in North Palm Beach and built a distinguished career in law enforcement dedicated to public service.

Serial Porch Pirate Busted

On March 30, 2026, an investigation began into a serial “porch pirate” suspect responsible for multiple thefts throughout Palm Beach County. Through investigative means, the suspect was identified as Tamika McGlashan, who was traveling to various residences and committing thefts from dwellings by removing delivered packages. During the investigation, probable cause was established for a residential search warrant at a residence in Lake Worth.
