Scan Alert – Beware – PBSO is warning the public about an imposter
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public about an imposter sending fraudulent emails while falsely claiming to be a Captain with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
The scam email instructs recipients to participate in a “ZOOM COURT OFFICIAL PROCEEDING” regarding a purported “Federal Court Virtual Disposition.” This email is not legitimate and did not originate from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office or any federal court.
If you receive one of these emails:
- Do not respond.
- Do not click on any links or open any attachments.
- Delete the email immediately.
