If you get a call from “Amazon” claiming that a credit card was opened with your name and fraudulent purchases were made online, it’s a scam. The imposter will then transfer you to Deputy Soul from PBSO and even give you a fake badge number. Please don’t fall for it!

The imposter deputy demands the last four digits of your social security # stating that he needs to report this to the Department of Social Security and the Treasury Department and if he/she does not provide the information, there will be “legal action”.
