I began my career with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in 1982, starting at the original jail facility located on 40 West Canal Street in Belle Glade. At that time, the jail and the Police Department were housed in separate areas, divided by a ramp. Throughout my career, I have held a supervisory position for over 38 years, with one of the most notable highlights being my leadership role as the second-in-command at the West Detention Center (WDC).
Throughout my tenure, I have held several key supervisory positions, including Administrative Sergeant, Security Sergeant, Intake Sergeant, Visitation Sergeant, and Court Security Sergeant. I currently serve as the Sergeant of the Corrections Emergency Response Team (CERT), where I continue to contribute to the safety and operational effectiveness of our correctional facilities.
