Colonel Talal Masri leads the Department of Uniform Operations for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), overseeing all 20 patrol districts throughout Palm Beach County. His responsibilities include 13 municipalities that contract with PBSO for law enforcement services, as well as the Field Operations Bureau and Support Services. Under his leadership, nearly 1,500 dedicated deputies and professional staff serve the residents and visitors of Palm Beach County with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to public safety.

Colonel Masri has built a distinguished career in public safety spanning more than three decades. He began his career in 1995 with the City of Greenacres Department of Public Safety, serving as a Paramedic and Firefighter-Police Officer. In 2000, he joined the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, where he has served in a wide range of operational, investigative, and leadership assignments, including Strategic Intelligence Agent and Detective Sergeant in the Crimes Against Children Unit.

Throughout his tenure with PBSO, Colonel Masri has steadily advanced through positions of increasing responsibility, from Road Patrol Deputy to Major of the Major Crimes Bureau. His extensive law enforcement experience includes violent crime investigations involving robbery and homicide, court services, emergency operations, and strategic operations.

Colonel Masri holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice. His educational background reflects his commitment to public service and the professional development necessary to lead complex public safety operations.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Colonel Masri is a devoted husband and father. He and his wife are the proud parents of two sons who compete in high school and college athletics. He values family, service, and community, bringing those principles to his leadership and continued commitment to the residents and visitors of Palm Beach County.
