Just before 4:00 pm, on Thursday, July 21, 2022, deputies responded to a shooting that occurred on Westgate Avenue east of Wabasso Drive, West Palm Beach.  Upon arrival, deputies found a female suffering from what was believed to be a gunshot wound and later determined to be minor injuries from glass fragments.  The woman was treated and released from a local hospital.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division arrived on scene to investigate further. It is believed that an unknown vehicle driving in the area of Westgate Ave east of Wabasso Drive discharged a firearm striking the vehicle the female was driving. No suspect information is known at this time.
