Back to work, watch your speed

We know most of us are running late this morning, but please respect our school zone's speed limit to keep our kids safe. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office has stepped up enforcing school zone speed limits to protect the school children of Palm Beach County. We ask the public to please reduce their speed, while driving through school zones and watch for children.

Thanksgiving kindness

On 11/21/2018 deputies responded to Lake Worth Rd and S Military Trail (in the IHOP plaza ) in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Deputies made contact with the owner of the vehicle who advised she had broken down and was making arrangements to move the vehicle. The following day (Thanksgiving ) Deputies noticed the vehicle remained in the same position. PBSO Deputies, School District, Home Depot help a girl in need

  This is how a community comes together to help out one of their own. The Palm Beach County School District notified our deputies of an impoverished young girl who needed a wheelchair ramp for her home. We contacted Home Depot and we built something that would make her life a little better. We just completed the build of a brand new ramp for Victoria thanks to Home Depot and PBC Schools, Victoria can now move safely in and out of her...

PBSO’s Hurricane Michael Relief Efforts

A month ago, hurricane Michael, one of the strongest storms to ever strike U.S. mainland, hit our brothers and sisters in Florida's Panhandle. We sent our troops with one mission, to support those devastated by the storm. October 14, 2018- The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office sent the Emergency Field Force to Bay County, Florida to help in relief efforts for Hurricane Michael. Team Slater Update

Who remembers Slater? The strong boy who was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. His story inspired us all this past summer. Our SWAT and the K9 teams sent Slater another reminder that we haven't forgotten him and continue to cheer him on. Active Shooter Situations

In light of the tragic event that took place this week in Ventura County, PBSO would like to remind everyone what we can do during an Active Shooter situation. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, victims and everyone else affected with the recent shooting, especially the officer from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office who was killed in the line of duty protecting his community from this senseless act.
