PBSO DNA Lab: 1995 Cold Case Solved

In 1995, the 14-year-old victim was at her school bus stop when the suspect offered her a ride to school. Instead, he drove elsewhere and sexually assaulted her. Almost 24-years later, the suspect is in custody with the help of the US Marshals Task Force. The suspect will face a Palm Beach County Judge in the morning. We can only hope the victim is one step closer to recovery.  

Explorers Win 1st Place

Our Explorers participated in the Las Vegas 2019 Excon Conference Competition hosted by LVPD. Join us in congratulating them for winning first place in an unknown trouble incident and 3rd place in a Crime Scene Investigation.  

Loving Donations from Lovely Ladies

Thank you to the sweet "Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish War Veterans of USA" for kindly donating stuffed animals and pajamas to our District, local Fire Dept. & Representatives of Children’s Hospitals to distribute to kids in traumatic situations. We serve and protect with our hearts. Believe it or not, a small gesture of love can make a huge difference in these children’s lives. Thank you!  

PBSO Deputies attend Career Day

PBSO West Detention Center deputies attended Career Day at Gove Elementary in Belle Glade. The Deputies engaged with students in various activities such as introducing themselves in Spanish and educated the students about the role of Sheriff's Office deputies with an interactive worksheet. One of the most rewarding things we do here is shaping the lives of our future generations. That's why we invited a group of home-schooled children to learn about what we do here at Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office and show them all the careers Law Enforcement has to offer them. National Corrections Officers Week

Did you know that this week is National Corrections Officers Week? This week we honor our men and women of corrections and today we gave them free massages sessions, goodie bags and breakfast to our Brave Men and Woman to show our appreciation. These amazing men and women are not just working to keep everyone safe, they are role models to these inmates in a critical time in their lives. WE THANK YOU for all that you do!  

Bomb Squad Easter Egg Hunt

  When they're not busy defusing bombs, our Bomb Squad is working on beeping Easter Eggs for visually impaired children in Palm Beach County. We partnered up with the Lighthouse for the Blind and The International Association of Bomb Technicians & Investigators for a memorable day.
