PBSO Investigates a Possible Drowning/Death

On Friday, October 27 at 5:15 pm, deputies made contact with Edgar Velez who was wanted on multiple counts of Burglary and Grand Theft. Shortly after contact, Velez fled on foot and jumped into a nearby canal located at 10th Ave North and Florida Mango, Lake Worth. The investigation led detectives to the identity of 27-year old Curtis Jenkins, for the murder of John Lee Roland of West Palm Beach. Curtis Jenkins is currently in Virginia being held on Palm Beach County charges of First Degree Murder

We are looking for any witnesses of a fatal crash that took place yesterday, October 16th at around 8:48 AM. The wreck took place at Hypoluxo Road/ Seacrest Blvd (S 14th St), Lantana.

Detectives from PBSO Adopt Shooting from Palm Springs Police Department

Officers from the Palm Springs Police Department were dispatched to a shooting in the 3600 block of South Congress Ave, Palm Springs. Upon arrival officers learned that a female was struck by a bullet in the torso. The female was currently a passenger in a vehicle sitting in the McDonald’s drive through. The driver of the vehicle immediately drove the victim to a local hospital to be treated. The victim is currently expected to survive.

Three Arrested for Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Resisting Arrest.

As a result of a long term investigation, agents from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office South Florida Task Force and their law enforcement partners as well as agents from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office Burglary Apprehension Team conducted a joint surveillance operation on Hugo Leal.

Skimming Device Found on ATM Machine in the Village of Royal Palm Beach

These suspects are wanted for installing a skimming device on a bank ATM machine in the Village of Royal Palm Beach.
The unknown suspects were caught on bank surveillance video installing a skimming device on an ATM machine in the Village of Royal Palm Beach. They were believed to be driving in a 2016 or 2017, Gray KIA Sorento.

Before and after Hurricane Irma, the Lake Park Walmart and Lowe’s stores managers provided us with perishable food and other supplies. These supplies allowed our deputies to feed hundreds of citizens. Detectives Investigate a Generator-related Death in Loxahatchee

On Thursday September 14, 2017, at 8:00 pm, deputies and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to the 6100 block of 185th Terrace N in Loxahatchee, in reference to an unresponsive female. Body Found After Lowering Water in a Canal in Southern PBC to Prepare for Hurricane Irma

On Saturday, September 9, 2017, deputies were alerted to a partially submerged vehicle located in a canal in southern Palm Beach County. The vehicle became uncovered in the canal as a result of the city or county lowering the water levels in preparation for Hurricane Irma’s landfall. A deceased person was found inside the vehicle. The identity of the person is unknown at this time. The vehicle was removed and preserved in preparation for an autopsy and further investigation. […]
