Operation Heat Shield II

Active Shooter Emergency Drills Several regional Law Enforcement and Fire Rescue agencies in South Florida participated in Operation Heat Shield II to test coordination, response and rescue efforts through a set of emergency scenario drills. These drills consisted of various scenarios such as an Active Shooter in a Mall and in a School. A total of 6 different scenarios were played out all throughout Palm Beach County.

Arrest for Misuse of Laser Lighting Device

Today just before 1:00 am, our PBSO helicopter was conducting patrol in the City of Lake Worth due to the power outage when an individual pointed a green laser light into the cockpit, blinding the pilot. The individual, Jacqueline Robledo, was located and arrested for Misuse of Laser Lighting Device. The pilot received immediate medical attention. At this time, no immediate injuries were sustained. The FAA, NTSB and the FBI were notified.

PBSO Arrest Assisted Living Home Owner on Elder Abuse Charges

On April 20, 2018, detectives from the Special Victims Unit assisted the State of Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) regarding an allegation of elderly abuse/neglect. The investigation determined that Bhoodram Parsaram left the residents that live in the 24 hour assisted living facility overnight, unattended and restrained. The assisted living facility is located in the 1100 block of Wynnewood Drive, unincorporated West Palm Beach. Parsaram was placed under arrest and transported to the Palm Beach County Jail where he was booked...

Scam Alert for PBC Seniors

Dear Palm Beach County Senior Citizens, If your phone rings and someone tells you: "Your grandchild is in trouble and needs money!" It's a SCAM. This happens more often than you think. Yesterday, we arrested: Jason Moreland on a warrant for Grand Theft. Last year in June, the suspect contacted the victim and claimed one of his grandchildren was in trouble and needed money. The victim, falling prey, transferred a large sum of money to an account in West Palm Beach. Further investigation...

And the Award for the Carjacker of The Year Award Goes to… Marquise Hudson.

Marquise Hudson stole a black Kio Rio, left running and occupied by a 5 ½ month old infant, from the RaceWay Gas station located on Wallis Road and Haverhill Road, WPB. Then he left the infant unharmed at the Sunoco Gas station located at State Road 7 and Okeechobee Road, Royal Palm Beach. Good thing his mamma called us and turned him in.  

We Arrest 3 Juveniles Linked to 46 Auto Thefts

This weekend, our task force, along with PBSO helicopter and the Broward County Sheriff’s Office Burglary Apprehension Team, conducted a surveillance operation on suspects that have been linked to at least 46 High-end Auto Thefts out of East Boca Raton, Wellington, West Delray, and West Boca Raton. Yes, you read right, forty-six auto thefts. While in the community of Saturnia (West Boca Raton), the subjects committed an occupied residential burglary by entering the victim’s garage and attempted to steal their Jaguar SUV....
