Bicycle Crash – 100 Block of Lake Avenue, Lake Worth

Pedestrian 1 (P-1) was improperly riding a bicycle eastbound on Lake Avenue just east of the draw bridge within the inside lane of travel.
Vehicle 1 (V-1) was traveling eastbound on Lake Avenue within the inside lane approaching the peak of the draw bridge. As V-1 came over the draw bridge, the front of V-1 struck the rear of P-1. As the crash ensued, P-1 was thrown off the bicycle and redirected onto the hood and windshield of V-1. As V-1 began to brake, P-1 rolled off V-1 and came to a final rest within the outside lane.
