Suspect Arrested for Kidnapping, Sexual Battery and Indecent Exposure

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying any additional victims who may have had contact with the individual depicted in the attached photograph, identified as Verwayne Alexander. He is known to operate a gray 2019 Chevrolet Trax.

Alexander has been arrested and charged with kidnapping and sexual battery. Detectives are actively continuing their investigation to determine whether additional individuals may have encountered him under similar circumstances.

On March 30, 2026, detectives responded to a report of an armed kidnapping and sexual battery. During the investigation, a suspect was identified and probable cause was established.

On April 3, 2026, detectives interviewed Verwayne Alexander, who is currently being held in the Palm Beach County Jail. As a result of the investigation, Alexander was charged with one count of Kidnapping and one count of Sexual Battery (by coercion and threat).

On March 24, 2026, Verwayne Alexander was driving a dark gray 2019 Chevrolet Trax in the 1000 block of Ingraham Avenue when he approached a female pedestrian under the pretense of asking for directions while engaging in indecent behavior. He then traveled to Lake Ida Dog Park, where he parked his vehicle and remained inside, continuing the same behavior while observing individuals in the area.

An arrest warrant was obtained by the Delray Beach Police Department for four counts of Indecent Exposure. On April 2, 2026, Alexander was located, arrested, and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.
