Throughout the year, Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office organizes several “Conversation with a Deputy” events at local coffee shops like Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts and El Bodegon. These events are usually promoted weeks in advanced and attended by our assigned district’s deputies as well as  individuals  interested in talking about issues affecting their communities. During these 2 to 3 hour gatherings, the location hosting the event provides coffee either free or at a discounted price. The deputies welcome the visitors, at times even assist in serving the coffee and they try to answer any questions that might come up. Believe it or not, the ones who ask the most questions are our children. Most of the residents express gratitude for our efforts to reach out to the community. The outpouring of support is a key component in creating a positive working partnership with the residents and businesses in Palm Beach County.
