Mounted Unit

The mission of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Unit is to provide diverse mounted support to all divisions within the agency as well as to other municipalities in Palm Beach County. With a distinct height advantage and the ability to traverse various terrains impassable to most vehicles, the Mounted Unit provides high visibility patrol to all districts and responds to search perimeters for missing persons or fleeing suspects. The Mounted Unit completes public relations presentations to scores of audiences throughout the county and participates at events in crowded venues providing extra patrol or potential crowd control.
