From Inmates to Graduates

They received their GED diplomas to help them re-enter back into society when they are released from jail. The GED Program is a second chance to get a High School Diploma. “Conversation with a Deputy” at a Local Dunkin’ Donuts Store

Today, PBSO District 13 (Belle Glade) along with Executive Staff attended a “Conversation with a Deputy” at the local Dunkin Donuts store. The event was attended by over 100 individuals who were interested in talking with Deputies regarding issues that affect their community. The residents expressed gratitude for the effort of the Sheriff’s Office in organizing this outreach event. The outpour of support is a key component in creating a positive working partnership with the residents of Belle Glade.      

3 People Shot Outside Belle Glade Health Dpt.

We are investigating a shooting in Belle Glade outside Belle Glade Health Department where three people have been shot. Deputies responded to a shooting outside the Belle Glade Health Department. Upon arrival they located three victims shot. All three victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Conditions are unknown. The scene is very active and ongoing. Deputies Investigate a Shooting in Belle Glade

Deputies responded to a shooting in the 600 block of SW Avenue D, Belle Glade. Upon arrival deputies found an adult male with gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No suspect information of known motive at this time. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division are investigating further. PBSO Second Annual Teen Summit

On Saturday, February 25, 2017, the city of Belle Glade held its 2nd Annual Teen Summit. Deputy Kenneth Torrence from the Palm Beach Sherriff's Office was invited to sit on the panel to speak about what PBSO/PAL is doing to help prevent crime and violence in the city.
