Our Community Outreach program serves the communities of Belle Glade, Pahokee and South Bay.
Operation Strike Heat nets 60 arrests for Weapons, Drugs, and Driving Charges. The operation concentrated on crime offenses of narcotics (trafficking and sales), firearms, burglaries, robberies, and gang activity.
It took place in the north end of Palm Beach County last weekend, April 12th & 13th, 2019 from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Shop with a Cop 2018
What better way to connect with our community than shopping and playing with our kids. We gather a few deputies, volunteers, parents and children year after year for our annual Shop with a Cop. As children arrived at Walmart, they were paired with officers and given shopping carts for them to pick whatever they wanted. Thanks to everyone who made this possible. Happy holidays!

Six inmates graduated from the West Detention Center in Belle Glade. They received their GED diplomas to help them re-enter back into society when they are released from jail. The GED Program is a second chance to get a High School Diploma. The requirements are the same, they are responsible to complete courses like Language Arts, Science, Social Studies and Math. Today, PBSO District 13 (Belle Glade) along with Executive Staff attended a “Conversation with a Deputy” at the local Dunkin Donuts store.
The event was attended by over 100 individuals who were interested in talking with Deputies regarding issues that affect their community.
The residents expressed gratitude for the effort of the Sheriff’s Office in organizing this outreach event. The outpour of support is a key component in creating a positive working partnership with the residents of Belle Glade.
We are investigating a shooting in Belle Glade outside Belle Glade Health Department where three people have been shot.
Deputies responded to a shooting outside the Belle Glade Health Department. Upon arrival they located three victims shot. All three victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Conditions are unknown.
The scene is very active and ongoing. No motive or suspect information is known at this time.

Deputies responded to a shooting in the 600 block of SW Avenue D, Belle Glade.
Upon arrival deputies found an adult male with gunshot wound to the leg.
He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
No suspect information of known motive at this time.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division are investigating further.
