Independence Day is a great time for families and friends to come together – watch fireworks, grill, and enjoy a good day at the beach or the pool. Yet, disasters tend to happen. Every year, an estimated 11,000 people are treated for injuries related to fireworks.

While fireworks are legal to purchase in Florida, they are illegal to set off without a license. We know this doesn’t make much sense, but we don’t make the rules, we just enforce them. We want Palm Beach County residents, especially our children, to be safe during this Fourth of July. We want everyone to keep all their fingers!
