Frontier Elementary Students honor Deputies

Yesterday, on 9/11, the Safety Patrol students at Frontier Elementary School, in Loxahatchee honored their local PBSO and PBCFR on Patriot Day. The students collected different items  and put together a gift basket along with homemade cards thanking the deputies for their service. Members from PBSO  District 15 as well as their School Resource Deputy visited with the students and were presented with their gifts.

Slater gets a surprise from PBSO SWAT and K9

Slater is one of the strongest people we know. He was diagnosed a few months ago with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma and is being treated for 18 months at St Jude’s Children’s Hospital. His story and courage have inspired all of us here at PBSO. Our SWAT and the K9 team sent Slater a surprise gift to let him know that he is #SlaterStrong. Hang in there Slater, we love you.

PBSO Deputies Replaces 9 Year Old Stolen Bike

Here’s a feel-good story for you.
We responded to a citizen’s complaint about her nine year old son who was robbed of his bicycle by force. Her son had just received the new bicycle as a gift two days prior. D/S Gerbasi quickly established a perimeter and utilized all available resources in the course of his investigation to include multiple K-9 Units and the aviation unit. PBSO Deputy Uses Non-lethal Tactic to Dissuade Dog, Even After Getting Bitten

Two german shepherd’s busted out of their back yard and terrorized the streets near Pot O Gold Street, West Palm Beach, this morning. One of the shepherds bit a teenager as he was walking to school (he received minor injuries). PBSO deputies were called and responded to the area. A PBSO sergeant was able to corral the shepherd’s back to their residence. As our our deputy attempted to close the gate one of the shepherd’s re-escaped.

Toy Drive BBQ to Collect Toys and Donations for the Fallen Officer’s Families

There are over 900 fallen officer’s children in the United States. For the second year in a row, we partnered up with the Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association to host a Toy Drive BBQ to collect toys and donations for the fallen officer’s families. Together, we were able to collect well over 1,000 toys. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Deputies Deliver Thanksgiving Cheer

An elderly woman was stopped by deputies driving the wrong way down Haverhill Road this afternoon. The woman told deputies she knew she should not be driving but could not find anyone to take her to the store to buy a small turkey for Thanksgiving.

PBSO Honors Walmart and Lowe’s Leadership for their Support

Join us in thanking Walmart and Lowe’s leadership for their support. Before and after Hurricane Irma, the Lake Park Walmart and Lowe’s stores managers provided us with perishable food and other supplies. These supplies allowed our deputies to feed hundreds of citizens. This week, deputies presented these stores’ managers with a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ to thank them for their partnership and commitment to our community.
