On 11/21/2018 deputies responded to Lake Worth Rd and S Military Trail (in the IHOP plaza ) in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Deputies made contact with the owner of the vehicle who advised she had broken down and was making arrangements to move the vehicle. The following day (Thanksgiving ) Deputies noticed the vehicle remained in the same position. In making contact once more with the owner of the vehicle, deputies learned the female had been homeless, living out of her vehicle, and did not have family or friends in the area to have thanksgiving dinner with. Deputies were given the opportunity to hand out dinners throughout the day and were able to bless this woman with some food and company throughout the shift. Opportunities like this (provided by PBSO) allows deputies to build relationships within the community. It also allows trust, showing kindness and love, which is something the world needs more of.
