On February 16, 2024, just after 11:00 am, Martin County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an in-progress vehicle burglary involving a vehicle wanted in a Homicide in Palm Beach County. Upon the sight of Law Enforcement, the driver of the vehicle immediately fled into Palm Beach County. During the pursuit, one of the occupants allegedly pointed a firearm at a Palm Beach Gardens Police Officer. The vehicle was pursued to 47th St and Flagler Drive where it crashed and became disabled. All occupants were quickly apprehended nearby.

All three juvenile males were charged with grand theft auto, fleeing and eluding (high speeds, reckless), and resisting officers without violence. Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer charges are pending.

The investigation is still active and ongoing. No additional information to add at this time.
