Fatal Crash at Florida Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens

Last night around 11:05 pm, our Vehicle Homicide Team investigated a Fatal Crash at 3348 Florida Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410. Unfortunately, we had to notify the family (next of kin) of this tragic crash. Please ‪#‎DriveSafely‬, we hate making these visits.

These are the findings of our VHI unit:
The driver of Vehicle 1 was traveling eastbound on Florida Boulevard at a high rate of speed. As the driver traveled through a curve, he failed to maintain control of his vehicle as the roadway straightened. The driver improperly over-steered to the right, which caused the vehicle to rotate in a clockwise direction as it traveled onto the northern shoulder of the roadway. Upon entering the shoulder, the left side of Vehicle 1 impacted into the rear of Vehicle 2, which had been properly parked on the northern shoulder (facing east). The driver was pronounced deceased on scene. The passenger was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital where she remains in critical condition.
